SICT Bachelor Student "Best Project" Selection Competition Guidelines

Purpose:

Scope:

SICT bachelor students will participate.

Competition venue:

Application and software: April 3, 2026 at 10:00 in room 101

Physical projects: April 3, 2026 at 10:00 in the Sports Hall

Timeline:

Project introduction:

1. Project name
1. Introduction of team members
1. Purpose and use of the project
1. Novelty and technological advancement of the project
1. A copy of the document if a patent or utility model certificate has been obtained for the new project
1. Cost incurred in creating the design and calculation of economic benefits
1. Status of introduction into use
1. A copy of the contract if the project is created under an organization's order or contract

Basic requirements for physical projects and software projects:

1. Technical and technological solution, advanced novelty
1. Technical and technological research, calculations, and test results
1. Possibility and significance of introduction into use
1. Calculation of economic benefits (cost, expenses, revenue, benefits)
1. Student's creative work (cooperation between faculty and students on the project, teamwork, project introduction, etc.)
1. If the product design or application/software was previously submitted in a competition, must specify newly improved aspects and be a fully completed and working project
1. The project must ensure safety so as not to harm others
1. The project must not violate the copyright and patent laws applicable in Mongolia.

Selection procedure:

1. Projects will be selected in 2 categories: physical projects, and software and applications.
1. The selection committee will receive brief introductions of projects submitted within the specified time and register them by category.
1. A single project will be registered and selected in only one category.
1. An exhibition will be organized by the branch and publicized to the public.
1. Based on the SICT review committee's evaluation, 3 winning projects will be selected in the "Best physical project" category and 3 in the "Best application and software" category. The selected projects will participate in events such as "Mongolian Innovation Week" and "21st Academic Symposium".
