SICT Students Successfully Participate in 22nd National Electronics Olympiad

With the aim of developing the knowledge and skills of students at universities and colleges that train specialists in electronics, electricity, and automation, creating an environment for mutual learning, and expanding cooperation between institutions and schools in electronics and automation, the "22nd National Electronics Olympiad" was successfully held on May 9-10, 2026. The Olympiad was sponsored by Unitel Group and NextMind, and organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering of the School of Power Engineering.
Three teams of students from SICT, representing Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (R&AI), IoT (Internet of Things) Technology, and Electronics Engineering (EE) majors, participated with great success. Including:
- The "SICT-3" team led by Baatarkhuu Bat-Orgil (EE-4), with members Enkhbaatar Bayarsaikhan (EE-3), Gantulga Galbat (EE-3), Tseren-Ochir Solongo (EE-2), and Tegshdorj Altansuvd (R&AI-2), took 4th place.
- The "SICT-2" team led by Batbaatar Munkhtuya (EE-4), with members Unumunkh Nandintsetseg (EE-4), Saranchimeg Batchimeg (IoT-4), Ulambayar Mandakhbayar (EE-2), and Tamir Dorjbal (EE-1), took 2nd place.
- The "SICT-1" team led by Orgil Toguldor (EE-4), with members Yeruujav Enkhjin (EE-3), Munkhtamga Oyunzul (EE-3), Dolgorsuren Erdenebaatar (EE-2), and Otgontulga Nomuundari (EE-1), took 1st place and became the holders of the traveling cup.



Congratulations to Dr. B.Dorj, Dr. E.Narantuya, and instructor Ts.Sugir for guiding and successfully bringing the students to participate! We also extend our gratitude to instructors D.Namuunaa and B.Bat-Erdene who served as supervisors during the Olympiad days!
In the student research conference and project competition named after Professor J.Dashdorj, organized as part of the Olympiad, 11 presentations were discussed and 8 projects were introduced. SICT students participated actively in the project competition:
- 3rd place: "Development of an Artificial Hand for Educational Purposes" project by T.Togs-Erdene, a 3rd-year student of Electronics Engineering.
- 2nd place: "Automatic Control System for Livestock Watering Wells" project by E.Batdorj and T.Lkhamjav, 3rd-year students of Electronics Engineering.
